Laura has been working in the field of health and fitness for over 20 years. What started off as a way to stay active turned into a quest to heal her own body. After years of crippling headaches, she set out to find answers. Living with chronic pain has given her a deeper understanding of her clients and the struggles they face. Her philosophy on massage guides her gentle approach to treatment: The body is able to heal when it is in a state of relaxation and ease.
She has a diploma from Humber College in Fitness and Health Promotion as well as Massage Therapy from Mount Royal University. She has completed over 400 hours of yoga teacher training and is a Fully Certified STOTT Pilates instructor, certified at all levels with all equipment, as well as being a TRX instructor. With this training, Laura has led post-rehabilitation Pilates in a Physiotherapy clinic. She particularly enjoys working with patients recovering from stroke. Laura is also trained in Thai Massage and is a Level 2 Certified Precision Nutrition Coach. Since she completed her massage therapy training, Laura has taken additional courses in Fascial Cupping, Orthopaedic Massage, Intraoral Massage and TMJ dysfunctions, Neurokinetic Therapy, Applied Movement Neurology. She most recently completed training to be a certified lymphedema therapist.
When Laura is not at the clinic, she can be found playing the cello.
