Curtis Hawkins

Born and raised in Grand Forks, BC, Curtis moved to Victoria BC in 2009 to become a Certified Athletic Therapist, through Camosun College’s Bachelor of Athletic and Exercise Therapy Program, graduating and certifying in 2013.

Curtis has had experience working with both amateur and professional athletes for several years in various sports including Hockey, Baseball, Lacrosse, Soccer and Football. As a clinical therapist, he believes in identifying the root cause of your ailments through physical assessment, gait analysis and functional movement screens. In a session, you can expect a mix of hands on manual therapy, joint mobilization, various soft tissue techniques and a personalized rehabilitation plan to fit your needs.

Previously, Curtis was a employed at Camosun College in Victoria where he served as a clinical practitioner with the general public as well as the Head Therapist of their Varsity Athletic Department. Prior to Camosun, He spent 3 seasons as the Head Athletic Therapist and Strength Coach for the Cowichan Capitals of the BCHL, and 2 seasons as the Head Athletic Therapist for the Victoria HarbourCats working with NCAA div I athletes, as well as 1 season with the WHL’s Victoria Royals. In addition to athletes, Curtis also has experience working with all ages of the general population.

Curtis recently relocated to Calgary with his better half Kirsten in 2019 after accepting a position at Mount Royal University working as a clinical therapist within their Varsity Athletic Department, prior to joining the team here at the Calgary Muscle and Soft Tissue Clinic.

Curtis has always had a lifelong passion for sports, fitness and the outdoors. In his spare time, Curtis can be found hiking, fishing or on a baseball field.
